Story Pirates set sail for Roswell

The Story Pirates will bring their “Greatest Hits Show” to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, October 6, as part of the 2018/2019 Roswell Family Series. 

The Story Pirates are a kid-centric media and arts education company. Their top-10 podcast for kids includes world-class actors, comedians, improvisers and musicians .They also produce a hit radio show, have recently published the book “Stuck in the Stone Age,” and perform their touring show in theatres from coast to coast. 

Often described as “a mix between School House Rock and Monty Python,” the Pirates have received widespread critical acclaim. The New York Times called Story Pirates a “theatrical treasure,” and comedian Jon Stewart described them as “crazy entertaining” on CNN. 

In Roswell, they will perform their “Greatest Hits Show,” which is a sketch comedy musical based on some of the Pirates’ favorite stories written by kids from around the country, plus a segment that’s entirely improvised according to suggestions from kids in the audience. 

The Story Pirates will perform two shows on Saturday, October 6 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $10 and can be purchased at roswellcac.com, by calling 770-594-6232, or in person at the box office. Group discounts may be obtained in person or by phone. Seats are assigned for all shows and tickets are required for everyone ages two and up.
