How to vote early in Richmond County

Voters in Richmond County have many options available to them for casting their ballot in the Dec. 4 General Election Runoff.

Advance Voting will begin Tuesday, Nov. 27 and will continue through Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 in the Beazley Room at the Municipal Building at 535 Telfair Street; at the Diamond Lakes Regional Park at 4335 Windsor Spring Road; at the Brigham Community Center at 2463 Golden Camp Road; and at the Warren Road Recreation Center at 300 Warren Road. Voting hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

All voters voting in person during Advance Voting must provide one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification prior to casting a ballot. There is no Saturday Voting during a runoff and there will be no voting the Monday prior to the election.

Voting by mail is in progress now. Interested voters may apply by submitting a written request to the Board of Elections Office at 535 Telfair Street, Suite 500, Augusta, Georgia, 30901, by fax at 706-821- 2814 or by email at richmondelections@augustaga.gov.

Voters who cast an absentee ballot by mail do not have to provide a reason for voting by mail. In order to be counted, voted mail-in ballots must be received by the Board of Elections Office not later than 7 p.m. the date of the Election.

Election Day Voting will occur from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Dec. 4. Voters should report to their home precinct in order to vote on Election Day. All polling locations in Augusta- Richmond County will be open. All voters voting in person on Election Day must provide one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification prior to casting a ballot.

Only those voters who were registered and eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election are eligible to vote in the runoff. Voters who did not vote at all on Nov. 6 are eligible to participate in the runoff Dec. 4.
