Do you ride MARTA? Here's your chance to weigh in on the service

MARTA is hosting four community conversations to engage Atlanta residents in discussions about the newly adopted, historic More MARTA Atlanta program. Conversations began Tuesday evening and will continue through Saturday, Dec. 5.

To ensure that residents across the city have an opportunity to engage in dialogue about the More MARTA Atlanta program and discuss next steps for the approved projects, the following community conversations have been scheduled:

• Thursday, Nov. 29, 6:30 – 8 p.m. at St. Mark AME Church, 3605 Campbellton Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30331

• Monday, Dec. 3, 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Northwest Library at Scott’s Crossing, 2489 Perry Blvd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

• Saturday, Dec. 15, 8:30 – 10 a.m. at Morningside Presbyterian Church, 1411 Morningside Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30306

“More MARTA Atlanta is the people’s program, and it has been from the beginning. Public input has played a significant role in defining, and redefining, the program, and MARTA is committed to continued community engagement as this program develops,” said Benjamin T. Limmer, MARTA Assistant General Manager of Planning.

Over the past three years, MARTA has engaged thousands of residents across the city, through face-to-face interactions, emails, phone calls and online and print surveys.

“We know that MARTA is a community service, and to ensure that we are providing the best possible service, we need to understand what is most important to our customers,” said Limmer. “To be most responsive to the wants and needs of the communities we serve, our outreach and engagement efforts must continue throughout the life of this program – and beyond.”
