GBI links three suspicious deaths to one common cause

On Thursday, November 8, 2018, law enforcement agencies in Camden County responded to three separate deaths. Police found 57-year-old Andrew Jacob Bargman, 27-year-old Antone Moncrieff, and 41-year-old Melissa Nelson dead within hours of one another and all in various locations throughout Camden County.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the St. Marys Police Department, the Kingsland Police Department, and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the deaths in an effort to determine the cause and if there was a connection between the deaths.

Crime Lab examinations determined that all three died as a result of acute Fentanyl and Cocaine Toxicity.

On Jan. 15, Rashaad Penta Hines was arrested for one count of the distribution or sale of a controlled substance, Fentanyl and Cocaine, and one count of Felony Murder, reference the death of Andrew Jacob Bargman.

The investigation continues and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 912-510-5163 or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation at 912-729-6198.
