Stockbridge Dwarf House to close temporarily. Will re-open with new look and new name

1908

After being open for more than 26 years, the Stockbridge Dwarf House at 3649 Highway 138 SE will close its doors for a brief period to undergo a complete renovation bringing the chain’s newest restaurant design and an increased capacity to a new, more convenient design for guests – all the while still providing the same full-service dining, self-serve dining, and drive-thru options.

The rebuild, scheduled to take six months to complete with a grand reopening tentatively slated for fall of this year and with the new restaurant comes a new name, Truett’s Chick-fil-A. The Stockbridge location is the third Dwarf House concept to be completely rebuild and rebranded under the Truett’s Chick-fil-A name.

In addition to increasing the restaurant’s drive-thru and kitchen capacity, the new restaurant’s interior and exterior design will be a homage to Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy.

Customers will find numerous design elements that recall Cathy’s beginnings as a young entrepreneur in Atlanta as well as features that depict the history of the chain he founded. The beloved “little red door” which serves as an entrance to the Stockbridge Dwarf House will be incorporated into the new restaurant’s entryway.

Thousands of Team Members have served hundreds of thousands of guests since Chick-fil-A’s Stockbridge Dwarf House’s initial opening in 1992.

“I have served side by side with amazing Team Members and remarkable guests,” said Executive General Manager Michael Burgess. “They are truly the reason we have been successful in a location we’ve simply outgrown. We are grateful to our loyal customers who have been a huge part of our success and look forward to continuing to serve the Stockbridge community.”

While the renovation is being completed, Burgess has found a creative avenue to retain his Team Members. Many of them will work at neighboring Chick-fil-A and Truett’s Chick-fil-A locations allowing Burgess to maintain a majority of his employees and those in the Stockbridge area who get that Chick-fil-A craving will still be able to get their fill.
