Police charge another suspect in Super Bowl LIII ticket scams

GWINNETT COUNTY — Gwinnett Police have charged another ticket scammer in a series of deception cases that range from unincorporated Duluth, unincorporated Suwanee, city of Atlanta, and areas of Florida for Super Bowl LIII tickets

Leah Marie Evers has been charged with Computer Theft and Theft by Conversion in relation to the scams.

Police say between mid-2018 and early-2019 Evers entered into agreements with numerous people to provide them with sporting event tickets, including Super Bowl LIII. 

The Gwinnett County victims totaled almost $76,000 loss.

According to police, Evers has several aliases, including Leah Luckie, Leah Severs, and Leah Severs-Luckie. Police say she is known to purport herself as a lawyer and may be a flight risk.

In addition to the Gwinnett County warrants, Evers has several warrants from other jurisdictions in Georgia and Iowa.

Evers is described as a white female, about 5’5” tall, and about 175 pounds.
