Police search for men who assaulted teenage girl in Savannah

SAVANNAH — Police are searching for two assailants in the sexual assault of a girl in her early teens. The assault occurred April 17 in the Bacon Park area.

According to police, the girl was walking near Webster and Gerald Drive at about 3:15 p.m. when a newer model red Toyota sedan stopped and the occupants forced the girl into the car.

The girl was taken to an unknown location and assaulted before leaving her in the Bacon Park area. The car had a paper tag with an expiration date of May.

Police say the assailants are described as two black men, one of whom is about 5-foot-2, wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers. The other was described as 5-foot-11, wearing a black ski mask, orange hoodie and black leather gloves.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Savannah Police Violent Crimes Tip Line at (912) 525-3124. Tips can also be sent to CrimeStoppers at (912) 234-2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
