Bibb County deputies have arrested one of Crimestoppers' 15 Most Wanted

MACON — Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a suspect on the Crimestoppers’ Top 15 most wanted list.

Deputies received a tip that 32-year-old Kenon Mekeal Newbill was at a residence in the on Rocky Creek Road.

According to the sheriff’s department, while deputies were approaching the residence they noticed that Kenon’s family member 55-year-old Andre Byron Newbill pulling a gun out of his pocket. Deputies drew their weapons and instructed Andre to put the gun down and he did.

Andre was taken into custody without incident. Deputies checked Andre and it was determined that he was a felon.

Deputies then entered the residence and were able to take Kenon into custody without incident.

Kenon Newbill was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Violation of Probation per a warrant and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender per a warrant. He is being held on an $11,200.00 bond at this time.

Andre Newbill was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. He is being held on an $8,670.00 bond at this time.
