A Georgia woman was shot and set on fire; two arrests have been made

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the September killing of Tiffany Vakoun. According to police reports Vakoun was shot in the head at a Riverlake Way residence in Snellville and set on fire in her car afterwards.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s investigators Friday arrested 35-year-old Atlanta resident Antisa Denise Columbus and 29 year-old Snellville resident Eureon Deontae Phillips.

Both suspects are charged with Felony Murder, Arson in the First Degree, Destruction of Evidence, and Concealing the Death of Another. Mr. Phillips is also charged with Terroristic Threats.

According to warrants, Columbus and Phillips allegedly caused the death of Tiffany Valkoun on September 13, 2019 by shooting her in the head. Authorities report that the victim was set afire inside her vehicle after being shot.

Columbus was located and arrested without incident at a motel on Memorial Drive in Decatur.

Phillips was located and arrested without incident at a business near Memorial Drive in Decatur. Both suspects are in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.
